Changes in the dangerous goods regulations for ADR as of January 1, 2019

With the ADR 2019 (effective as of January 1, 2019, mandatory as of July 1, 2019), the specifications in the transport document will change when using the exemption in accordance to 1.1.3.6 ADR (1000-points exemption). Read more.

With the ADR 2019, the corresponding section (5.4.1.1.1, note 1) of the ADR will change as follows:

“In the case of intended application of 1.1.3.6, the total quantity and the calculated value of dangerous goods for each transport category shall be indicated in the transport document in accordance with sections 1.1.3.6.3 and 1.1.3.6.4.”

With this, it will become mandatory at the international level to list both specifications (quantity per transport category and points value per transport category) in the transport document.

AEB has made this change available for the standard with the November service pack.

Customer-specific adjustments of the ADR will continue to work when the service pack is installed but may not comply with the new legislation (Required text can be added using manual editing).

AEB recommends to customers with individual adjustments to commission AEB with a corresponding upgrade by the end of June 2019.

AEB will contact the affected customers at the beginning of 2019 and make a corresponding service offer.
