China – Changes of customs regulations as of June 1, 2018

Since June 1, 2018, an update of the CCAM regulation (China Customs Advance Manifest) has been in effect that affects all shipments to and via China. Before the arrival of a consignment to China, the VAT number of the consignor and the consignee as well as additional information about these must be transmitted to the Chinese customs authorities (by the airline, the shipowner, the freight forwarder, or the TSP). Transport service providers are therefore asking customers to provide all consignment data at least 24 hours before completion of the loading process to ensure a smooth transport. AEB will extend its standard ASSIST4 Dispatch software accordingly with the June 2018 service pack to enable you to comply with this obligation. Read more.

The ASSIST4 Dispatch standard version includes the following requested fields:

  • VAT identification number (VAT ID) or VAT ID of consignor,
  • Contact details (phone number) of consignor,
  • Consignee contact (name of contact and phone number),
  • Consignee tax ID

You can decide whether this information is to be printed onto the packing list with *fields in the document type.

If you are exporting goods to China and your freight forwarder or transport service provider requests this information, we recommend installing the June 2018 service pack for ASSIST4 Dispatch.

The June service pack includes the standard packing list updated with the VAT field.

Please note that you may have to maintain your master data accordingly.

If you work with the standard packing list, you will automatically be able to use the adjustments after in-stalling the service pack.

Are you using an old version of the packing list and need setup assistance? Do you have individual re-quirements? We will be happy to assist you in the implementation process.

Contact us by email at or call us at +49 711-72842-1322. We will be happy to provide you with our services.
